Announcement of the Narsaq Science Week, 2-6 September 2025

We are organising Narsaq Science Week with the GreenFjord team this September.

At the end of their 2025 field season, the GreenFjord team will organize a community outreach event in Southwest Greenland. The event will take place in Narsaq and Qaqortoq with the aim to engage the local community, schools, and everyone interested in the research that has been performed by GreenFjord in the region over the past years. Narsaq, 2-4 September 2025

Members of the GreenFjord team will organise a community event in Narsaq on 2-4 September 2025. The event will consist of outdoor activities and short presentations followed by a kaffemik to allow the local community to learn more about the research of the GreenFjord programme.

Tuesday 2 September: Open doors at the research sailing vessel Forel

Wednesday 3 September: Events at Narsaq Research Sation (NIRS) and throughout town

Thursday 4 September: Kaffeemik

Qaqartoq, 5 September 2025

On 5 September 2025 members of the GreenFjord team will organise a event in Qaqartoq. This event will include activities in the community as well as a science conference during which the team will present the research they performed in the area since 2021.
