Artists and Aasivik veteran and archivist staying at NIRS during Aasivik 2026

Artists Naja Abelsen and Shazia Khan will be staying at NIRS to produce exhibitions and workshops with children and young people in Narsaq in collaboration with Narsaq Youth Club and the organisation Greenland Children. The Aasivik veteran Ole Lykke will also be staying at NIRS. Ole Lykke is the historical archivist of the freetown Christiania in Copenhagen. Christiania was the main sponsor of the first Aassivik Festival in Narsaq 50 years ago. Ole recently produced an extensive exhibition on the history of the Aasivik Festival
