Imprinting Water Workshop with Youth Club

Images from the cyanotype workshop in the youth club with Pauline Agostoni, organised by Ane Marie Poulsen and Nivi Stidsen. Pauline Agustoni is a Swiss artist working with a Swiss research team doing research on glaciers in Switzerland and South Greenland. It is led by David Janssen. Join us for a creative workshop where sunlight becomes your camera!

We’ll use cyanotype – a great, old-school photo technique – to make a big blue artwork using objects related to water. Think of anything connected to water: fishing gear, ice, raincoats, cups… Together, we’ll arrange these water-themed objects on special solar paper and use the sun to imprint their shape on the paper.

Our team blends art and science, working with lakes and rivers in Greenland and Switzerland. While we create, we’ll chat about water in our lives. What does water mean to you? What objects remind you of it? How is water part of your everyday world? Let’s turn everyday things into something special – a big, shared artwork that connects objects, stories, water and sunlight. No experience needed – just curiosity! All materials are provided, but feel free to bring water-related objects if you like. There will be cake and coffee
