Workshop with DIY Sensors and Geophones

Gudrun Havsteen-Mikkelsen (Polar Research Design) - a designer working between Denmark, Iceland and Greenland just finished her stay at NIRS, where she developed a workshop for young people in Narsaq. The workshop will enable young people to experiment with and build DIY Sensors and Geophones (devices that can detect movements in the ground) to learn and play with new ways of understanding the natural environment - how technology can be used to explore and sense the world around us and notice changes that aren’t easy to see with the naked eye.

The workshop was unfortunately cancelled due to the hectic schedule of Nationaldagen in Greenland, but we hope to run the workshop another time.
