Last General Assembly of the GreenFjord Programme

The Swiss Arctic Polar Institute’s flagship Programme - Greenfjord (led by Julia Schmale) has operated with NIRS as its HQ in South Greenland for the past 3 years. This week the last general assembly took place at the Extreme Environments Research Lab in Sion, Switzerland. Local residents and partners from Narsaq and Qaqortoq were invited to help evaluate the research, suggest future directions - and how the research findings might best be brought back to benefit the local community once the data has been processed. Invited representatives included Oleeraq and Marianne Nielsen, Aaju Simonsen, Bjarni Eiriksson and Lise Autogena.
