PostDoc project about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood in Kalaallit Nunaat

Mette Mørup Schlütter is currently staying at NIRS. Mette is an anthropologist with a PhD in Arctic Health and Society from Ilisimatusarfik. She is working as a postdoctoral researcher at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway on a project about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood in Kalaallit Nunaat. The project is carried out in collaboration with Ilisimatusarfik and will be based on long-term fieldwork in Narsaq – in which local knowledge holders and collaborators are involved throughout the different stages to ensure relevance, shared ownership, and meaningful dissemination from the outset. The project is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
